Summary
This position requires someone with a well-rounded understanding of graphic design, typography, information architecture, usability, technology, user experience design and online marketing. The role requires an up-to-date understanding of current design, and web trends.
You will be working in a highly skilled team environment and will be responsible for bringing to life our group of websites and web applications that follow our innovative strategies and design.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Liaise closely with YouCanDoThat.com team and/or clients during the creative stage of web based projects;
- Develop and propose creative prototypes/solutions that address overall design, navigation, usability and layout of content;
- Develop and maintain user interfaces for our web applications/tools;
- Ensure that layout of content is accessible and logical; recommending improvements if necessary;
- Perform maintenance and updates to existing websites and web applications;
- Design and creation of brochures, flyers, and templates for print.
- Work with developers and technical staff to continually evolve our sites and applications;
Qualifications
- Post secondary IT degree or diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Extensive knowledge of HTML and CSS;
- Extensive experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver
- Familiarity with search engine optimization (SEO) and performance;
- Attention to detail and creativity in problem solving;
- Superior knowledge of current web-design trends and technologies;
- Good oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to manage prioritized tasks while meeting deadlines;
Education Requirements
- Post-secondary education and/or equivalent experience is desirable.
Experience Requirements
- Extensive experience in the development of dynamic Web sites is preferred.
Compensation
- Compensation will be commensurate with education, qualifications and experience.
